Contaminated Land Management

Investigation – sampling – remediation

Various activities can potentially contaminate soil on parts of your property, which could threaten human health and the environment. It is not unusual for that contamination to have been caused by a historical activity that is no longer obvious.

What is contaminated land?

Land is considered contaminated when any hazardous substances could threaten human health or the environment.

Hazardous land uses land where chemicals may have been stored or spraying may have occurred, such as orchards, market gardens, sheep dips; service stations and other underground or above-ground storage of hazardous substances; motor vehicle workshops; timber treatment sites, and some industrial sites.

Our services include:
• Pre-purchase assessments
• Preliminary and detailed site investigations
• Human health and environmental risk assessments
• Remediation and treatment options
• Soil and water compliance and consent monitoring

We can also assist with project management and navigate you through the consenting requirements.
